Inspiration

Architecture, Art and Natural Forms

I use mood boards to piece together my inspirations.

Linking Art works, furniture design, great architecture and natural forms to feed into the idea of creating areas using negative space.
Using a variety of sources, magazines, blogs, artist sites and my own images, I have found links as a basis for by design work and idea development.

Colour

My colours have been drawn from those in nature and in my visual research surrounding this body of work. Combinations of colour and the effect this has on the colours them selves and how they are viewed is very interesting. The 50's and 60's with there use of Scandinavian practical design and bold use of colour has been an inspiration.

Frida Kahlo was a huge influence in my use of colour for this collection. These mood boards were created to illustrate how her person and work are so inspiring.

The colours and geometric shapes have been a huge influence on my wanting to produce structural bright interiors - my own photographs
